Frosty Chia Strawberry Protein Blast

green-smoothySo last week was a great week for lots of “green” foods to help us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. I sampled the “green” smoothie blast in the aisles, with great responses. So I wanted to share recipe with customers. The spinach was an add-on just to make the smoothie blast green.
Frosty Chia Strawberry Protein Blast

All you need:
2 cups Hy-Vee unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 cups Hy-Vee frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh spinach (optional)
1 cup Hy-Vee Greek strawberry (100 calorie) yogurt
2 packets NuNaturals Stevia
1-2 scoops New Solutions Nutrition Strawberry Whey Protein Powder (HealthMarket)
1-2 Tablespoons Hy-Vee HealthMarket Chia Seeds
All you do:
Add almond milk, frozen berries,spinach leaves,stevia,protein powder to a blender. Blend until smooth, add chia. Serve and drink immediately. Makes 5 – 1 cup servings

Nutrition Facts:
106 calories, 2.8 gm fat, 8 gm carbohydrate, 6-12 gm protein, 2.4- 4.8 gm fiber.
